About Noa Marting Gymnastics

Meet the Owner & How We Got Started

Hello! I am so happy you have stumbled upon our page, we are excited to have you. My name is Noa Kruse (Marting) , owner and head coach of NMG. I married my husband, Justis, in August of 2023 and we had our first baby girl in June of 2024, Lennox Belle Kruse. I would love to tell you some background about me and how our gym made its way into this world!

Starting with a little bit about myself. I began my own tumbling career at age four. I have attended thirteen national championships, placing at each. I have trained with some of the best, including the top ranked tumbling team in the nation for multiple years. I started with forward rolls and ended my career at one of the top levels in the USTA, performing up to 8 high level skills consecutively. My three younger sisters have tumbled along beside me all of these years and the sport became a huge part of my family. Tumbling is not only a passion of mine, but a passion of my family as well.

Now how, why, when did I start NMG? Well, it kind of happened on its own! Like I said before, tumbling has been a huge part of our family's life. After lots of thinking and planning, we decided to build a gym in our backyard for the purpose of practicing at home more. We loved being in the gym and all we could ever dream of was more gym time! Slowly word spread around and I started helping some younger fellow teammates prepare for upcoming competitions. Next came private lessons, then some small group classes, and now here we are. Currently coaching about 200 students ranging from 14 months to 18 years old. It has been a crazy journey, but I have loved every second of it.

Besides tumbling being a huge passion of mine, I am super passionate about teaching children in general. I have a bachelor's degree in elementary education and my special education endorsement. I went back to school online to get my behavior disorder and learning disability endorsement, something I am very passionate about. I am a special education teacher at West Elementary. So much of what I learned at UNI and in the classroom setting has transferred into the gym and has helped me shape our students into not only strong gymnasts, but respectful and kind friends, attentive listeners, self loving human beings, and so much more. I have been able to incorporate a lot of fine motor skill, hand eye coordination, color/number/letter/shape learning, and problem solving into my younger aged classes. We use many research-based strategies in our classroom management plans. It has been a great opportunity to combine both of my passions into one and I believe its been very beneficial for our students as well.

I am living my dream of being a coach and business owner. My students are my everything and I love them each so much. I am so blessed and thankful for every student I have had the opportunity to teach, as they have taught me so much in return. I have lots of big plans for NMG and I can't wait for what the future holds. Thank you so much to those who have supported my dream and family!

Our Vision and Values

Our vision at Noa Marting Gymnastics is to provide a positive, encouraging, and inspiring atmosphere for our students to grow physically, mentally, and emotionally through the sport of tumbling.

Our Values

  • Inclusion... We welcome all backgrounds, abilities, and ages into our gym. Everyone will be treated with respect and love when they walk through our doors.
  • Patience... We believe in being patient with ourselves, others, and the process of our sport. When showing patience to our students, we are letting them know that they (and their feelings) are valued and validated. Coaching with patience builds respect, empathy, and positive self-esteem in our students.
  • Positivity... We believe in creating a positive and uplifting environment where our students are praised for their good choices and success and provided with a mentor when faced with challenges. We choose to not participate in negative talk to ourselves or others by speaking affirmations and words of kindness.
  • Work Hard (and have fun!)... We believe in dedicated hard work in and outside of the gym. We teach our students the importance of getting their job and work done and how that is going to better them and their skills. We also do so by having fun! We like to laugh, be silly, and create friendships!
